Here’s a presentation I never would have tried if I had realized what was involved. Roger Rosenblatt, a real writer and thinker, and some of his similarly gifted friends, were having a public discussion on religion and thought it would be good to have “the state” involved. I agreed, mostly out of respect and admiration for Roger, without thinking a lot about what was required. At the last minute I discovered I would need to make a direct presentation of fifteen minutes or so in answer to the question: “Who is God?” I was consternated. What I produced was barely the beginning of an answer. Someday, when I’m wiser, I’ll try again.
